  1. For those of you who suffer from acid reflux- does it ever cause you to throw up? I have randomly vomited every few months for a couple of years now but the last couple of days I have thrown up multiple times- hours after eating and is accompanied by heart burn/indigestion. Has anyone had the same experience?

  2. I drank diluted Apple Cider Vinegar after seeing so many testimonials for it. It made my acid reflux worse. It made my throat burn way worse! I finally saw an ENT to confirm I did have silent reflux. Good luck to everyone. The pain is horrible!

    1. Many thanks, I’ve been looking for “symptoms for acid reflux in adults” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about – Mackorny Cool Stomach Blueprint – (just google it ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my co-worker got great results with it.

    1. Aloe vera juice from 7-11, Asian isle in grocery stores or I even find it at dollar stores. Pretty cheap and has saved me countless times. Tastes good also. The apple cider vinegar turns me off. My husband takes it in pill form for his low potassium and says the smell wakes him up.

  4. I have acid reflux it seems, I do get the burning sensation in my throat and warm stomach but what affects me the most is my chest, usually burns and can’t really breath unless I’m laying down. Anyone else have this type of feeling?

    1. if you are laying down, use at least 6 inches pillow and position on your self left side … that is the result of what you eat , for the meantime avoid greasy or oily food … cut back food from the resto and fast food … hope this will help …

    2. Been dealing with this for 3.5 years. My chest pain causes me to have anxiety, panic attacks, even hyperventilation thinking its a heart attack. Ive gone to the e.r for many many many times throughout the past years. Then theres the feeling of lump in my throat, and trouble breathing. Sometimes i am never able to have 1 full relaxing breath. Its always cut short and i would try to start over again to get 1 full breath (giving myself anxiety) EVERYTHING IS SOOO bad. Ive been up the past few nights, even pain in chest during the day. Like right now, my chest is hurting.

  5. Dr Oz, you are not showing the reall cause for acid reflux. Educate these people isntead of all the false hopes

    Edit: it worked after a while, but the taste was awful. After it kicked in I started to burping a lot.

    1. I don’t take the amount he recommended. That’s way too much baking soda. It’s too salty, and tastes terrible. I’ve been drinking baking soda water for many years! But, I make it weaker. I put about 1.5 – 2 teaspoons in a whole glass of water (12-16 oz). And I drink it slowly. I take a few sips when the burning starts. Then drink some more when it comes back. lf it comes back. I even have a small bottle of baking soda water that I carry around my house. I even put it in my purse so that I have it when I go out. I re-used a 12oz AquaFina water bottle. I fill it with purified water, then I put about 1.5 – 2 teaspoons of baking soda in the bottle and shake it up. It tastes much better that way. And it works perfectly, without tasing disgusting! Whenever I’m out shopping or something, I always have a way to put out the fire. I even keep it by my bedside, because I wake up with fire in my chest every night. So sick of it. I can’t even drink a vegan smoothy. I get heartburn. I get heartburn even when my stomach is empty. Yes, really. I hope this helps some of you reading this.

  7. acid reflux is caused by stomach ph being more alkaline than acidic… to be blunt acid reflux is actually caused by NOT HAVING ENOUGH stomach acid, since there is not enough acid the food is not broken down properly and the esophagus fails to close completely causing acid reflux… and what do doctors perscribe for it?? ….. antiacids….. think about that for a minute… you’re experiencing all of this pain due to low stomach acid and now on top of that you’re taking stomach acid reducing medication… well now u feel better because the medication basically brought your stomach acid content down to zero, and obviously acid reflux can not occur unless there is atleast some acid. the problem is you’re only patching the tire instead of changing it… it will come back again and again guaranteed. so now that you’ve sat and read all that, how do you fix it?

    well first it’s important to figure out weather its acid reflux forsure because it could actually be an ulcer… to test this eat something. if you feel worse after eating its acid reflux, if eating makes you feel better u may actually have an ulcer.

    back to the acid reflux, heres what to do.

    1. drink 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar with some water 10 minutes BEFORE EATING… the acid in the acv will help break down the food and the esophagus will be more likely to close properly… make sure to do this before eating! taking a shot of acv by itself with no food could actually make it worse… remember your symptoms are caused by LOW stomach acid, the purpose of the acv is to give your stomach acids a boost in the process of breaking down food so if you’re not going to eat anything it defeats the purpose of drinking the acv…

    2. lower your carbohydrate intake!! one of the main causes of acid reflux is the built up pressure in the stomach due to partially digested CARBOHYDRATES… stop eating sweets for a while, give your stomach time to rebulid and renew itself before u go shoveling donuts and cookies back into it… try a low carb diet just for a few days, maybe even just through the weekend. treat your stomach right and your stomach might just fix itself!

    why fasting? because fasting actually puts your body into rebuild mode… it improves brain cognitivity, recycles and rebulids damaged cells in the body, lowers grelin (hunger hormone) and raises hgh (growth hormone)… intermittent fasting basically gives your whole body a cleansing inside and out… and also the most common sense reason out of all of the reasons, eating less. less food = less irritation on your stomach…

    I myself had bad acid reflux after every meal. i corrected my acid reflux in 1 week by doing the keto diet and intermittent fasting along with drinking apple cider vinegar before each meal… while i was doing the keto/fasting i noticed there was no heartburn at all, even after a huge meal… this was because i cut the carbs out and gave my stomach time to renew itself! today i can eat pasta, cake, burgers, pizza, and even spicy food with no heartburn… of course i eat all this junk in moderation, too much of it can easily put your stomach back on the path of destruction…

    i recommend watching some of dr. eric berg’s videos on this subject.

    3. If anyone here can help me.. I’ve been having heartburns for a long time now so the doctors gave me antacids. It worked for a month but now its making me feel weird.. I’ve been burping so much after eating and I cant sleep due to burping (I eat 3 hrs before bed) so I got off those and tried ACV (2 tbs with 12oz of water).. the AVC made my stomach burn so much… so now I dont know what to do. I still get bad heartburns if I dont take meds or anything. If please someone help.

    1. here’s a few tips for treating heartburn naturally
      Ensure you drink enough water.
      Avoid tomato rich dishes eg pizza and pasta
      cut down on French fries and mashed potatoes
      Avoid dairy products such as ice cream, sour cream and cottage cheese

  10. It destroyed my normal life. I mean before I was just a happy person doing anything i wanted,now, I feel so sick always cause it literally happens to me multiple times in a day.

    1. Make sure you don’t have a hiatal hernia or an esophagus ring. Both those things can cause reflux as well as a food allergy. I’ve had the first two.

    2. Try a high fiber diet. Lots of fruits and vegetables and whole grains like quinoa. Stay away from spicy food, fried food, tomatoes, and citrus.
