This is our experience with INFANT ACID REFLUX. Our daughter is 4 weeks 3 days at the filming of this video.

She had a variety of symptoms that led us to believe that she had acid reflux.

SYMPTOMS:
Constant hiccups 1:25
Clinging & scratching 3:11
Arching back, "crawling" up our chest 3:50
un comfort, grunting 3:11
turning side to side
screams in pain if laid down 4:06
prefers upright
congestion 7:29
pulling away during feeding 3:52
difficulty or refusing to eat 8:10
eating smaller amounts
spitting up (small amounts)
not sleeping soundly or waking from a sleep with a painful cry
fussiness continuing to worsen throughout the day, peaking in evening 1:49
coughing
sounding "horse"
wet burps with a pulling away disgusted face 4:28

TREATMENTS:
Keep baby upright
Baby Ayr saline drops 7:48
Ranitidine (Zantac) 1.5 ml's by mouth twice daily (baby's weight 8 lbs at time of filming) 6:31
Essential oils: DigestZen 5:51

To find out more about the essentials oils here is a link to thier website. I am not paid to promote this. This is another natural option to try.

This is the rocker that she sleeps in:
*It had a recall because of a fear of mold because it was thought to not "breathe" well. We never had a problem and they still sell it. Just FYI

  1. I didn’t want to do medication first either. I had another baby with this so I knew what to look for. After trying several home remedies, I went to medication. My baby was in severe pain and I was desperate to help her. I agree it’s a hard thing to decide. I wish you the best of luck and hope you get things worked out. 🙂

  2. Hi thanks for this video. This is exactly what my 4 week old is going through and he has choking episodes which are really scary.. Has your daughter had anything like that happen? He is currently on nexium and Zantac for about a week and half now and I’m not sure there is too much improvement.. It breaks my heart to see him in pain and there isn’t much I can do.

  3. thank you so very much.iv bn thru the same pain as u n here hard, like an angel telling us how to deal with this. God bless u for all that ure doing.

  4. omg thank you so so much. i am so relieved. i am a new mom and i couldnt figure out what was wrong with my son. he definitely has reflux and i will be calling my dr in the morning.

  5. your video was so informative! thank you for being so vigilant in documenting baby’s symptoms. geesh a stumbled accross this video aftrr watching babies having seizures. I swear i was totally saying colic is a load of crap. because we’re mothers and we know babies dont just cry like that for no reason. my baby doesn’t cry for hours at a time. collectively through the day he does about 2 hours sometimes 3 .. but that’s in 5 .. 10 .. and 15 minute intervals. but that list you made is exactly my babies symptoms and I was looking into this earlier in the week. but ive been racking my brain trying to figure out exactly what it was.

  6. thank you so much for this video. My doctor said that I was over feeding her and i’m not using the pacifier enough. Even said to not worry my maternal instinct will kick in soon. I will be taking her back to the doctor this week.

  7. holy crap you just described my 6 week baby! I’m not crazy I knew something was wrong with her. shes not just a windy baby! Let’s hope the pediatrician listens to me on Monday. Thank you so much for sharing!!

  8. Thank you !! My son is 4 weeks he started with hiccups then at 3 weeks started becoming fussy and spitting up

  9. You just completely explained my two week old son 😭 We have an appointment tomorrow since he hasn’t gained weight since being born . I’ll be sure to mention this to my Pediatrician. Thank you!

  10. Thank you sooo much!! I can’t wait to show my fiancé this! Our daughter is a little of 2 months and at about 3 weeks I knew that there was something wrong. Everyone was saying “ oh that’s just babies, they cry a lot blah blah blah” and we knew this isn’t normal. So we took her to our doctors, and being new to the office we are trying all the doctors, one said reflux isn’t real and so on, and the other proscribed Zantac. It really helped the first two weeks and then gradually got less and less helpful. So the past few days we got much more loose on giving it to her (some days only once) and she has been really bad. But I am going to go back to the doctors after trying to be more on top of the medicine if she continues to get worse. The doctor that proscribed it to us said we might need to up the dose in a few weeks about 3 weeks ago. But my fiancé said she feels like she’s not doing a good job at being a mom, but I try to tell her she is and this isn’t her fault and I think this video will show her that she hasn’t done anything wrong. The symptoms are SPOT on to what you described so thank you for posting this and helping new mommies and daddies! Keep it up!

  11. This is every symptom she has! Let’s hope the doc listens. It’s been a beautiful nightmare… Only 3 weeks in lol thanks for posting!

  13. Thank you, I said the same thing. Who records when you see your baby going through a seizure of some sort. I have not been able to catch my baby’s symptoms on camera.

  14. I just had my first baby and she just turned 1 month and she has all this symptoms.. I always wonder or think of what’s wrong with her but i know she’s in pain but don’t know what exactly to do. This video helps alot.. Thank you 😊
